VINTAGE 8 PIECES STERLING SILVER BREAD PLATES BY A.G.SCHULTZ & REVERE SILVERSMITHS
The featured lot consists of 8 sterling silver bread and butter plates. It is not a full set but rather marriage of two makers. There are 5 trays by A.G. SCHULTZ & CO of Baltimore, MD and 3 by Revere Silversmiths of New York. The total weight on my kitchen scale is about 730 grams but the actual weight can vary slightly.
The Schultz plates measure approximately 3/8" tall and 6" in diameter. Marked on the back with "Sterling 100" and the maker's mark. All monogrammed on the rim.
The other 3 plates are about the same height but slightly wider - 6 1/8". Marked on the back with " Sterling 4521" and the "R" over a horse in a shield.
The plates come in overall good condition for their age. Relatively clean with slight patina and tarnishing. There are small dings, scuffs, scratches, marks and dents here and there but no major damages.
