    A neat early string or yarn winder, possibly for wire.  In overall good used condition.  Mechanism can expand or collapse along the shaft.  The Shaft is about 8" long.  One of the legs is slightly bent.  No apparent makers mark.  Likely used in a country store or perhaps in a factory.
