Antique Victorian Style Grate, Vent, Register, Cast Iron, W G Creamer, 1869, Old House Salvage. This register has good integrity and a very attractive ornate sunburst pattern.
This register includes the cover plate and a louver assembly underneath.  The louvers are working and are controlled by a lever. This looks to have a date of 1869.  The top edge of the grille measures approx. 11 3/4 inches by 9 3/4 inches. From the front to back it measures approx. 2 ½ inches. This has a frame on the back that is 1 or ¾ inches thick depending on where you start to measure from. The opening of the frame measures 10 inches X 7 ¾ inches, so your vent pipe would have to be close to this size, unless you retro fit it. The unit is in nice shape but it does have some thick worn and peeling paint, and mild rusting. Selling as-is.
Use just as it is or with some cleaning and new paint this vent would be a beautiful addition to your home.
