    Description

    Caligaro Italy Oversized Centerpiece Tray, Silver over Hammered Brass
    This stunning tray is heavy silver plate over hammered brass. It measures a full 21” in diameter, with a raised rim about 1” deep and topped with a rolled edge 1” wide. The tray has a clear lacquer coating to minimize the need to  polish.  Light scuffing on its serving face seems consistent with prior use, but does not seem to detract from its awesome presence. Otherwise in excellent condition.
    While Calegaro may not be a recognized in the the US, it is one of the most important high-end manufacturers of silver products in Italy. It partners with for companies, like Tiffany’s, Hermes, Bulgari, and Rolex to produce their proprietary designs in silver, gold and jewelry.  Offers appreciated.
