NICE 1948 FRANK M WHITING STERLING CRYSTAL TALISMAN ROSE WINE COASTER LEMON DISH

Description

This is an Estate Fresh old Sterling Silver & Crystal dish or Coaster made by Frank M. Whiting Silver Co ca 1940's.
I believe this a lemon dish and the glass bottom protects the silver from the acidic juice of the lemon wedges.
I have also seen it called a Wine Bottle coaster or candy dish.
It would be a nice piece to use for your perfume bottles too!
Whatever you choose to use it for, you can be sure it will look elegant on the table.
Item is in good condition.
It measures 6 1/2” across the rim and stands just shy of 1” tall.
The etched glass center is 4”across.
Piece is marked Frank M. Whiting & Co., Sterling, 1658, Talisman Rose is the Pattern.
